The Place2be - P2b: The mission of The Place to Be is to enable therapeutic and emotional support to be provided to all children in primary schools based on a practical model backed up by research. The Place to Be (P2B) is a young, growing charity formed in September 1994. P2B trained counsellors help children deal with their emotional reactions to the difficulties they encounter during their school years - divorce, deprivation, abandonment, long-term family illness and death, domestic violence, homelessness, eating disorders, physical or sexual abuse and the trauma of war zone refugees. Those who are emotionally disturbed as children often fail to reach their potential

Rural Enterprise Works is a collaborative initiative to assist and support English rural businesses and the economic and social communities in which they operate. It has support from Defra and seeks to partner with other government departments and RDAs. It will be funded and supported by a unique combination of the public and private sectors and will be operated by Rural Enterprise Works Ltd for its community of rural business people and other stakeholders.
Powys Rural Support Network: The Powys Rural Support Network (PRSN) was established in April 2001 in response to the Foot and Mouth (FMD) crisis. The intention was that it should combat the adverse impact that FMD was inflicting on the economic, social and personal lives of rural people. Its charitable object is “The relief of sickness and distress in Powys in particular but not exclusively, through the provision of charitable support, advice and advocacy service”.
Foundation For Good Governance: Governance is a term that is used widely, but often not understood. From a legalistic perspective governance can refer to the systems by which organisations are run and the laws, regulations and best practice with which they are required to comply. They prefer the concept of governance to encompass a holistic view of the organisation.Governance is “the systems and processes concerned with ensuring the overall direction, supervision and accountability of an organisation”. Sound governance in the private and public - not for profit sector - is increasingly recognised as the foundation for long-term success.
Rural Minds: Rural Minds is Mind’s response to the disadvantage experienced by people with mental health problems who live in rural communities in England. In 1997 Mind received money from the Department of Health to fund a three year project based at the Arthur Rank Centre, NAC, Warwickshire. The project was launched at the Royal Show in June 1997 by Lord Plumb.
